Richard Proctor was elected a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society in 1866, he became honorary secretary in 1872, and contributed eighty-three separate papers to its Monthly Notices. Of these the more noteworthy dealt with the distribution of stars, star clusters and nebulae, and the construction of the sidereal universe. Sir Robert Stawell Ball ( 1840 – 1913) was an Irish astronomer. He worked for Lord Rosse from 1865 to 1867. In 1867 he became Professor of Applied Mathematics at the Royal College of Science in Dublin. In 1874 Ball was appointed Royal Astronomer of Ireland and Andrews Professor of Astronomy in the University of Dublin at Dunsink Observatory.[1] In 1892 he was appointed Lowndean Professor of Astronomy and Geometry at Cambridge University. Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones, 1st Baronet 1833 – 1898) was an English artist and designer closely associated with the later phase of the Pre-Raphaelite movement. In addition to painting and stained glass, Burne-Jones worked in a variety of crafts; including designing ceramic tiles, jewellery, tapestries, and illustration, most famously designing woodcuts for the Kelmscott Press's Chaucer in 1896.
Walter Crane 1845 – 1915, was an English artist and book illustrator. He, along with Randolph Caldecott and Kate Greenaway, are considered the strongest contributors to the child's nursery motif that the genre of English children's illustrated literature.

Morris was an English poet, artist, and socialist reformer, who rejected the opulence on the Victorian era and urged a return to medieval traditions of design, craftsmanship, and community. He was inspired by the writings of John Ruskin and Augustus Pugin who championed the return of gothic architecture. The idea of the house as a total work of art, with all of the interior objects designed by the architect, emerged from this studio and remained standard practice throughout the Arts and Crafts movement.

Topffer, schoolteacher, headmaster of a boarding school and professor at the Académie de Genève, is considered as being the forerunners of today's comic strips. London. Dates 1727, 1st edition. Print page size 18 x 11 ins. Image
size 14 x 7 1/2 ins. Pp, Title page. The brothers, Samuel and Nathaniel
Buck drew and engraved a series of etched panoramas and views of
British towns, castles and abbeys etc. Each engraving describes
below the image, the history of the castles, from Norman times to
the early 18th century, including the numerous changes of ownership.
Most prints show a dedication and coat of arms. Each print numbered
from 1 to 10 in the left hand blank margin, signifying that they
are the 1st edition, not the later 18th Century or early 19th Century
reprints. Very good impression and condition. No Covers. Rare
